They used paper for the votes that was so thick and hard that by 7:00 pm it was difficult to put your votes into the boxes as they were full. We also had to vote in the open where one of the people involved could see your vote; the thick paper was difficult to handle and did not help to protect your vote. Personally, I didn’t care but this could have made people uncomfortable.
Thanks for keeping me informed |

| Many people have told me the deciding factors that convinced them to vote YES were the 3 letters sent out by the GLAD dissidents and the ellinger letter put under everyone’s door the day before the election. For the last 5 years that I know of, letters have been placed under the doors the day before the election that are sent under the guise of being an important announcement but contain subliminal messages to vote in favor of the incumbents. Let’s hope this puts an end to what I consider to be election tampering and misconduct. |

"WHEEEE!! GALAXY STOCK JUMPS 300 POINTS....
We sure gave Mumbles aka Smirky a bit of the ol’ tit-for-tat here at G-R in the past 18 months. And we were unsurprised at his fall. |

Last night I was treated to my first dose of up-close and in person uppity Galaxy types. They were manning the first table. The person responsible for filling out the first card put his/her attention on something unnecessary and after waiting for what seemed an appropriate period, I asked him/her if s/he could continue with my card. Mind you, this person was in no hurry and there were about 5 people behind me. S/he began to give me a lecture that they were volunteers and that I should stop screaming. I never raised my voice above a normal conversational volume! One of the other volunteers manning the table also chimed in that I shouldn't scream and that I should mind my own business. I just stopped talking at that point got my card and walked out muttering about 'uppity people'. Another volunteer who witnessed this event sort of accompanied me out of the room, helping me to find the next long line, saying that s/he thought that some people were 'uppity' too. I hope that my 'thank you for helping me' to this volunteer came across as sincere because I was a bit taken aback by the treatment I received at the first table. So if s/he ever reads this, I really meant my thank-you!
In the end I voted yes to both because I was irked by the business-as-usual attitude of all of the GLAD/AE postings. Plus the aggressive treatment by the volunteers didn't help me feel positive about the way things are currently. There was no reason for me to be treated that way when I was trying to vote. I wonder if my relatively young age had anything to do with it. Or, was this voter intimidation? |

maybe we should rent an up-to-date voting booth...would you like to donate the funds or maybe a special assessment...what do you think?

| I don't see any results of the recall on galaxyrising. It could be the server they use has been down. They had the same problem when the mayor got raided by the fbi and then again when he got indicted. Those GR boys have no luck. They miss all the news worthy stories. |

Hmmm...you're on to something. See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. And only put out propaganda when it is most opportunistic. Lackey-ism at its finest? Hmmm...
Lackey: Noun
S: (n) lackey, flunky, flunkey (a male servant (especially a footman))
S: (n) sycophant, toady, crawler, lackey, ass-kisser (a person who tries to please someone in order to gain a personal advantage)
